Our Qi Gong Instructor
All our classes are led by David James Lees, an ordained Taoist Master and fully insured Qi Gong instructor, who has practiced and taught Qi Gong meditation for over 25 years in the UK and China.
David first learnt Qi Gong in the UK from Chinese Tibetan Buddhist monks when he was 16 years old. After becoming a qualified traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner, David studied Qi Gong and trained for a number of years as an instructor with Doctor Shen in London and Master Wan Su Jain at the Chinese Taoist Medical Qigong Baguaxundaogong Headquarters in Beijing. Under the direction of Master Wan, David was ordained as a Taoist Master in the sacred Wudang Mountains in the Hubei province of China.
In addition to his extensive knowledge of Taoism and Qi Gong, David also weaves his TCM practice experience into his classes. This allows students learn the correct positions, their importance in TCM and relationship to the body's 'meridians' and 'channels', as well as the role and power of each move for health and wellbeing.
